Umrechnung von Ethanol-Wassergemischen in Dichte, Gewichts-% und Volumen-%
Bei der Herstellung von verdünnten Ethanollösungen (Weingeistlösungen),
z.B. zur Herstellung von Likören und Ansatzschnäpsen, ist eine Umrechnungstabelle
hilfreich. Denn: Weingeist besitzt einen Alkoholgehalt von 96Vol.-%, dies
bedeutet, daß zum Beispiel 50%iger Alkohol nicht durch einfache Verdünnung
von 100ml Weingeist mit 100ml Wasser hergestellt werden kann. Auch bei
der Errechnung des Alkoholgehalts anhand eines Dichtemeßgeräts („Alkoholometer“)
ist eine Umrechnungstabelle hilfreich.

Beispiel: Sie wollen 96%igen
Weingeist auf 50% verdünnen. Gehen Sie anhand der Tabelle wie folgt vor:
96 Vol.-% Alkohol entspricht annähernd 94 Gew.-% Alkohol, also 100g Weingeist
enthalten 94g Ethanol. 50 Vol.-% Alkohol entspricht annähernd 42 Gew.-%
Alkohol, also 100g Verdünnung enthalten 42g Ethanol. Um das wievielfache
muß nun der 96%ige Weingeist verdünnt werden, damit 100g Verdünnung nicht
mehr 94 Gramm Ethanol, sondern nur noch 42 Gramm Ethanol enthalten? Teilen
Sie 94 durch 42, ergibt 2,24. Dies ist der Verdünnungsfaktor. Sie müssen
also 100g Weingeist um das 2,24-fache verdünnen, um Alkohol mit einer
Konzentration von annähernd 42 Gewichts-% (ca. 50 Vol.-%) zu erhalten.
100g * 2,24 = 224g. Geben Sie also zu 100g Weingeist 124g Wasser,
um 224g Verdünnung mit einer Konzentration von 42 Gew.-% (=49,5 - 50,0
Vol.-%) zu erhalten.
